Get Rid Of Pimples Overnight? Is It True Or Just A Myth

Is it Really Possible to Get Rid of Pimples Overnight?

If there is indeed a way of getting rid of pimples overnight that is safe to do, you might well ask why isn’t it common knowledge?

Get-Rid-of-PimpleIf it were true, we would see far fewer people who are affected by this malady.

It would certainly be a boon to teenagers, and if someone knew the secret, and could patent it, that person would soon be very wealthy indeed, and a hero to boot.

When you begin your search to find a way to get rid of pimples overnight, you immediately come across some qualifying statements.

These include, “it doesn’t work for everyone”, “you should see some results the next day”, or “this method more likely will take several weeks to completely clear up your complexion”.

    That’s all right.

“Overnight” may be wishful thinking in most cases, but what most people are looking for is something that is effective, whether it takes a few days, or a few weeks.

Most would be happy just to see some real progress. Here are some ideas and suggestions that have been put forward.

You can try one or more of them and see of one of them works for you.

None appear particularly dangerous, but you do want to be careful what you put on your face, and particularly around your eyes.

    So – proceed with caution.

Seven Ways to Try to Get Rid of Pimples Overnight

Ice – Try an ice cubeice cube

Ice will do several things at once.

It will improve the blood circulation in the immediate area.

It will at the same time reduce inflammation, and the water will cleanse the skin by removing dirt and oil.

Do this several times a day, and watch for the results.

    Benzoyl Peroxide

Benzoyl peroxide will kill bacteria that may be present.

A weak solution of 2.5 percent will usually suffice.

Since this is a chemical, be careful not to get any in your eyes, or too near your eyes.

A stronger solution could irritate the skin, and actually be counterproductive.

In addition be being an antibacterial agent, benzoyl peroxide helps to peel away dead skin.

If nothing else, it could make your skin look fresher and brighter, and hopefully deal effectively with pimples and acne at the same time.

Pumpkin pulp is said to work, although you may not see results for a week or more.

The theory is that pumpkin pulp is effective because it contains a number of antioxidants.

Whether these antioxidants are effective when the pulp is applied topically instead of ingested is a good question.

You don’t have to walk around all day with pumpkin pulp on your face.

The recommendation is to add a bit of it to your favorite face mask. Either fresh or canned pulp is supposed to work.

    Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid is another chemical to fight pimples.

It is not only recommended as a home remedy but is marketed for that purpose.

Like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid is applied topically.

It kills bacteria, opens clogged pores, and reduces inflammation. Salicylic acid comes as an ointment, a cream, a gel, and a shampoo, and when purchased over the counter, often comes with a wipe pad.

    Lemon Juice

Another home remedy you can use to try to get rid of pimples overnight is lemon juice.

It’s the vitamin C in the juice that’s supposed to do the trick.

The recommended procedure is to take a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, add enough cinnamon to make a paste, apply it to the pimples, and sleep on it.

It’s not clear what the cinnamon does, but it seems a better approach to making a paste than flour would.

It is cautioned that this approach may not be suitable for someone with sensitive skin, which suggests that it acts as a rather powerful agent.

Several sources recommend toothpaste as a good pimple fighting agent.

It doesn’t take a lot of it.

Check the label for sodium lauryl sulfate.

Not all toothpaste have this ingredient, but those that do could irritate the skin.

Also, a white toothpaste should be used rather than a gel toothpaste.

You don’t have to leave the toothpaste on your face overnight.

Leave the toothpaste on for at least 30 minutes.

It is claimed that this method works best if preceded by the ice method.

It is said to provide quick results.

There are a number of other home remedies that might be worth trying, some of which may be growing in tour garden, or available in the grocery store.

One of these is a cucumber.

Cucumber has a reputation as a skin freshener.

You can make a face mask with it, drink the juice, or wash the face with the juice.

    And Four More…

Some other home remedies involve papaya, which is rich I antioxidants, peppermint, which is said to work very quickly, and garlic, which has all sorts of practical uses.

A paste consisting of baking soda is said to be effective, but should not be left on the face too long as it can cause skin dryness.
